Call for Abstracts (Free Paper)

Message from President

Greeting to all researchers interested in Legionella!

With no end in sight to the COVID-19 pandemic, we understand that the situation in clinical, research, and educational settings continues to be difficult. In Japan, the Omicron BA.2 mutant strain is still prevalent, but the situation in Japan, as in much of the rest of the world, is gradually moving in the right direction. Under these circumstances, we have decided to hold the 10th International Conference on Legionella as a hybrid on-site and online conference. Since the infection situation changes daily, the scientific committee and the secretariat are working together to prepare for the conference so that it can be held safely and reliably.

We are looking forward to seeing you in person or online at the 10th International Conference on Legionella in Yokohama, Japan!

Presenters of posters can choose on-site poster presentations or/and e-posters on-line. The e-poster should create a poster (one page) in PowerPoint or similar software and record an audio recording for the explanation of poster. The e-poster can only be viewed by registered participants who have been given an ID and password for the duration of the conference.
Instructions on how to submit files will be posted on the website later.

Guidelines

Submissions should be made according to the following guidelines:

  1. Abstracts must be written in English.
  2. Word limits for the abstract are bellow.
    Title: within 100 single-byte characters.
    Abstract body: 1,200 single-byte characters.
  3. Co-author should not exceed 10 members.
  4. Affiliation should not exceed 10.

Categories

Submitters can choose in which category they would like to submit their abstract. Abstract submission categories are as follows.

Poster

1 Epidemiology
2 Pathogenesis,　Immunology, Host interactions, Genetics and Genomics
3 Ecology　and　Environment
4 Clinical, Diagnostics and Infection Control and Prevention
5 Others

Scientific committee will review all submitted abstracts and determine whether they are accepted for oral presentation in a symposium session or poster presentation.

Notification of Acceptance / Rejection

We will respect authors’ preference but reserves the right to assign the category and makes the final decision of acceptance/rejection.
Authors will be notified by e-mail in July whether their abstract has been accepted for presentation.
